Hands of fire (the Teacher)

Well, I’m walking alone through the streets of New York city
My heart out of stone, don’t you think its a pity
A gunshot falls and people running ‘round
The police calls with a screaming siren sound.

Well, the bullet went inside of me
I fell on the floor and I could not see
A girl she was standing in front of the fall
Now a sheet covers it all
And I’m waiting, yes I’m waiting, I’m waiting
For my time to come

Hands of fire and nothing can stop them now
Hands of fire, well they live without the law
Hands of fire, hands of fire

I layed for two months in a hospital
The pain was heavy , but my mind was strong
Moving down south, I went back to school
Away from the violence, just keeping it cool
Wasn’t waiting, wasn’t hating
Didn’t know that my time would come , that day

Well, nothing seems to matter anymore
Just killing people every day
No one seems to care anymore
They all bow for the might of the NRA

Schools on fire and nothing can stop them now
Guns for hire, well they live without the law
Hands of fire, Hands of fire oooooh

And nothing happens as time goes by
Another shooting , another cry
Counting the bodies once again
The school year is over, we don’t understand
And we’re waiting, yeah we waiting, hell we’re waiting
For our time to come.

Hands of fire and who’s gonna stop them now
Hands of fire, they don’t even know how
Hands of fire, Hands of fire
